Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To assess patient’s needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, including    psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behaviours.
2. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, LHVs and other staff. To devise and monitor appropriate activities regarding treatment, counselling and referrals.
3. To offer therapy for difficulties relating to anxiety, depression, addictions, social and interpersonal problems, challenging behaviour and increasingly, a range of more difficult problems.
4. To contribute in rehabilitating of patients in the community.
5.  To demonstrate a psychological approach in their work.
6. To refer patients to specialists or to other institutions/ organizations for non-counselling treatment of problems.
7. To advise patients on how they could be helped by counselling.  To develop therapeutic and treatment plans based on clients' interests, abilities, and needs.
8. He/ She must demonstrate acceptable behaviour with the patients, staff and others.
9. You may be required to perform other related duties assigned by your supervisor as per organization set standards.

Education

• BS degree in Psychology or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of working experience.

Competencies

• Fluency in Urdu, English and Sindhi Language.
• Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for coordination purposes
• Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point)

Preference will be given to local candidates
